My mom is from Honduras she immigrated to America in 2001. Before she came to America my mom had a hardworking life in Honduras she was a daughter of 12 she took care of her siblings and she went to school unfortunately because of financial problems my mom had to drop out she only had a year left. She had to work and moved to the capitol of Honduras to work and win more money than she did in her little town. She got asked to work for a very wealthy family to take care of their kids and she helped them with their homework and got them ready for school. After she had enough money she moved to america she worked in factories and unexpectedly she was deported. She spent some time in jail until they could process her deportation. She came back to her homeland and she spent time with her family and started working in the coffee farm again until she got enough money to go back to america. After she came back she got a better job at a store and started making her family. She lived in Charlotte and had her first daughter in 2004 then she had me in 2009 and my younger sister who has the same dad as me in 2012, in 2014 she had my younger brother, 2023 she had my baby sister. my mom is a very hardworking single mom and all she wants us to graduate since she never got the chance to.

My dad was from mexico he met my mom in 2006 and then they had me. My dad was into cooking and would always take care of me and my older sister. He would make food for us and take us to the park. I don't really know much about him because when I was three he moved back to Mexico because during that time in america there was less and less jobs for Hispanics so he left to Mexico and started a store where he would sell all types of chicken and meats. He started a new life in Mexico he had two more kids and would always call me and my sister and would show us his shop, our step siblings, and the dogs that would walk around he always knew I loved dogs and would say when I went to Mexico he would get me one. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with diabetes and died in 2020. I will always carry my Mexican pride in food and how hard working he was.
