I woke up the streets covered in rubble; my eyes tried to make sense of what had happened, but I could not make any sense of what happened. All I could focus on is that I could not see my brother. I have got to find him I tell myself. I found him... But He is not the same, His eyes are grey his mouth is foaming. I knew it there has been a bomb, I am guessing the Russians as they had a massive break threw and wanted to test it. The only Building that stood was an old farmhouse in the distance, Maybe I can find food in it.

It is hard to walk, my feet hurt but I know that my life depends on it. I look at the ashes on the ground, I assume that they were trees. I see a glooming light behind me Its fire, A raging fire in fact. Run faster I think run faster; I am so close to the farmhouse I can almost touch it. I am in its pitch black its Empty? I feel around for a bit I find a lamp and turn it on, Food! I found food; it is only a couple days stale but its edible. I lay down and sleep until the next morning.

I cannot sleep its 3:00am I walk to the door but trip on the carpet, something is not right I think to myself.

I pick up the carpet and my eyes shock me “A TRAP DOOR” I scream. Something is up and I Just must focus and think. As I open the Trap door, I cannot believe my eyes I see canned food these beans and beef stew. Water and milk! I pig out for half an hour and there is still plenty of food left. I go up stairs and search for a bad to put food in, I find a hiking bag which will be great to carry lots of food easily. As I pack my food for the long journey I see a glowing light its not bright it’s just glooming, I ponder on what is so I go closer “What?” it’s a phone that’s being spammed with text messages from their dad. I am tempted to answer the call, but I do not as I do not want to stress out the Father.

As I leave the house and walk to the city, I think about how I am going to survive. How the world will start over again, was it the whole world or was it just England? I think about all these things and plan. I am going to go to all the supermarkets and see if I can find fresh food Then I will go to hardware shops and make a fence around a spot as a camp.

It has been 2 hours of walking and now I’ve arrived at the supermarket, Now I need to find 3 things Fresh food, A fire starter kit and clothes whether it be underpants socks or pants I just need the basics. Wait there is someone else in the shop... I can see him, but he cannot see me, there is more it’s a gang they are walking towards me pushing over everything. Shit they see me!

Alright time to reach the controls. . It feels like I have been walking for hours this tunnel is massive I need to find a quicker way there maybe if I find a vehicle in one of these armouries nearby I might be able to speed things up, I just need to sneak by these guards and damn they saw me! And there goes the alarm, I will have to run, I can hear yelling, gunshots and the constant footsteps all following me as I make my way to the car, Yes! They left the keys in, stupid Russians! . It has been quite a long trip so far, almost 2 years but I have finally made it here to this awful place, I knew from the start it was them and I was right oh how good it feels to be right! I am going to get revenge for what they did to my brother and the rest of my family in fact the rest of the world so many people were affected by these people’s greediness, all they want is power! But I am going to completely eradicate their sense of power, I am going to launch their own experimental missile directly at their own facility. . Alright I made it to the control room, took long enough it has been almost a whole day. I just have to get the key from safe, alright If I remember correctly the code should be 314159 the first six numbers of pi, predictable Russians. Alright I got the key time to launch it! NO! they found me! I have to hide otherwise everything I have done would have been for nothing, alright I will pick them off one by one. . Got it, that makes four they are all dead time to make my way back to the control room it shouldn’t take long I didn’t run that far, oh nice the Russians left their car here looks like I am going for a ride, My brother would have loved this car it has everything he ever wanted: good suspension, good steering, heck even the engines run nicely, I wish he was still here so he could watch me finish the job and we could both cheer together. . Finally, I am back in the control room I just have to place the key in the machine and turn! Oh, wait I forgot I have to set the coordinates alright just got to get to this computer annnd… done! Now I just turn the key again... there! The missile has been launched! The environment I worked on this in was great for getting the work done well and efficiently. My narrative excerpt shows good character voice because it is in a 1^st person view which makes it easier for the reader to understand everything Robert (the main character) is saying. Andrew and I worked very well as a group and were able to share ideas with each other and decide what the best story would be for our character Robert, Andrew showed great engagement in the work we did together and I like to think I did as well. I found it very difficult to Create a character voice and try to implement it into a first person narrative but I personally think I pulled through and did pretty well adding in the character voice.

The Novel is set in the year 2045. It based in Oklahoma More Precisely Wade Watts (The main Character) lives in the Portland Avenue Stacks in his Aunt Alice’s trailer on the edge of Oklahoma City. This relates to My story as they are both future dystopian Novels. The Main plot of My story is Robert, the main character wakes up after Russia has dropped a bomb in London England. The Story follows him and his adventure to get revenge for his mum and brother. Reading the Novel gave me an idea of what a Dystopian Novel is although there being many more types, we decided to base it on a bomb hitting England. I Believe that I worked well although I feel that I could have spent a bit more time on the actual novel. Some things that I know that I should improve on is putting in more detail into Fiction Novels. As I did not really put in as much detail in that was needed to really help the reader understand what was going on.

I think that Ryan and I worked well together and that He did Great to help me when I was a fair bit stuck on some questions and how to explain something in the novel.
