I think that the conflict of the book "When You Reach Me" will be man vs. man because I think Miranda is going to try and figure out why the boy with the army jacket on punched Miranda's ex best friend Sal and caused them to no longer be friends. But then Miranda had a short conversation with the boy in the army jacket and surprisingly, he was very nice and seemed as if he would never lay a hand on anyone. This leads me to believe that Miranda will try to take on the task of figuring out why the boy punched Sal, which would be a man vs. man conflict.

So far I find the book very intriguing because its very intresting how Miranda is telling the story as if she is talking to someone. I'm also enjoying it because in the first 30 pages there is already a mystery to be solved involved with the kid in the army jacket.

In the scene where Marcus and Miranda interact it takes place with Miranda taking Marcus to a dentist office in the back of the school. While Miranda was waiting for the next child to get done because she was helping kids back and forth she was reading a book and Marcus looked over to see what she was reading, it was called "A Wrinkle in Time" which was about time travel. Marcus had also had read the book and mentioned how time travel could be possible. After this, Marcus caught Miranda's attention and he stated explaining the end of the book using a lot of confusing physics. I think this scene shows how both Miranda and Marcus have an interest in time travel or something to do with it. I also feel this scene had contributed to the plot because during their conversation Marcus had said, "Einstein says common sense is just a habit of thought. It's the way we are used to thinking of things but a lot of the time it gets in the way....In the way of whats true" This appeared intriguing to me because I feel that Marcus is trying to tell Miranda to open her eyes from common sense and see what's in front of her. Of course since this is a mystery we would not know that yet, but I feel that this interaction has set up the mystery of the book.

They both have different opinions on the book, Marcus thinks that the book lied and Miranda thinks the opposite. What the two of them have in common is they both like the same subject on the book.

Two words to describe Julia are snobby and selfish. The first word snobby means that she thinks that her tastes are way better than others and that she is very social and outgoing and won't tolerate anyone lower-class. I know this because in the book it says , "...where her parents had bought her a lot of it, along with a little silver watch she was always shoving in people's faces." This shows how one of Julia's characteristics is snobby because she is always showing off. For the second word selfish, which means all you care about is yourself.and in the test it states "she wasn't going to have lunch with Annemarie for "the remainder of the week." Julia was big on announcing things in a loud voice so that everyone could hear." This shows how Julia loves to gather attention around herself and doesn't care about other peoples feelings as long as she is popular. As you can see snobby and selfish are both traits that really describe the character Julia.

Two major revelations that happened during this reading section is finding out the laughing man was the one who stole Jimmy's Fred Flinstone piggy bank with the two dollar bills and Colin randomly kissing Miranda. In the first scene it starts off with Miranda telling more about "A Wrinkle In Time" to Belle. Once Miranda finished she decided to buy chocolate milk and when she was getting her change back Belle told Miranda how the laughing man came in and used two dollar bills and if she wanted them as her change. That is when Miranda had the horrible realization that the laughing is the one who stole from Jimmy. The second revelation started when Miranda saw Colin going to Sal's place to hang out. Miranda was asked by Sal to join them but of course with the whole Sal thing she said no. So, she went to her own apartment and then out of the blue Colin came to her door looking very sick. Then suddenly he kissed Miranda. She was shocked for a second then kissed him back. This scene also reveals that Colin didn't leave the roses for Annemarie since he kissed her. These are the two scenes that I hope to find more about and that I think could be revelations.

The two major revelations are when Miranda finds out that the laughing man stole the money. The way she found out was kind of shocking to me. Miranda was talking to belle about the book and when belle saw the laughing man across the street she told Miranda about all the two dolor bills. The other scene I think is a major revelation is when Collin randomly kissed Miranda. In this scene Miranda heard a knock on her door and when she opened her door Collin just kissed her. But in my opinion I think there could be another scene that could kind of answer this question. In this scene Miranda and Julia don't hate each other. They are trying out a cake recipe for Annemarie's birthday and Miranda finds out that Julia doesn't just like clothes and jewelry. She finds out that she likes other things to.
