Padlet is a digital board used by teachers and students in order to share ideas. It can include words, images, videos, and links.

This tool allows differentiation by being user friendly, and including different media such as images and videos. It encourages student engagement and participation by instantly updating for anyone working on the same project. It can inspire personal uniqueness and creativity in students because they can brainstorm and collaborate, all while using different media types (Edwards, 2022).

I chose to use this tool with both types of learning environments because it is accessible for all students on multiple devices, and you can collaborate instantly on a "live" project or individually at your own pace.

This tool can be easily be applied to a project-based unit for general brainstorming, but it can also be used for students who are putting together a brochure or poster. Students can quickly and easily add their ideas in different media forms.

This tool can help meet the ISTE Standard for Students 1.1 Empowered Learner because it allows students to actively participate and demonstrate their learning.

Google Meet is a free videoconferencing tool available on multiple devices. You can easily meet with others in order to discuss, collaborate, and work on projects.

This tool/media supports project-based learning for students because it allows them to work together even when they are out of the classroom setting. It allows for differentiation by offering live captions to help those ELL or hearing impaired students. This tool encourages student engagement and participation because you are able to see multiple participants at the same time, and you can also communicate with each other verbally or within the chat feature. It can inspire personal uniqueness and creativity in students by allowing them to share their ideas with their peers.

I chose to use this tool for synchronous learning environments because students need to be present together in order to participate on the videoconference call. This is a discussion that can happen in real time, so students need to have a scheduled time of when to meet.

This tool can be applied to a project-based unit for learning about firsthand accounts. Interviews can be conducted in real time, and all of the participants can listen at the same time.

This tool can help meet the ISTE Standard for Students 1.2 Digital Citizen because students will need to conduct themselves respectfully and safely when on an online platform.

Student Corner is an online management platform that allows your students to collaborate without being together at the same time. Teachers can give feedback to students to help with their project and discussions with one another.

This tool/media supports project-based learning for students by allowing collaboration. It allows for differentiation by having students help each other as they work toward a common goal. It encourages student engagement and participation because the teacher is able to drive student engagement, manage and monitor groups, and assist with communication (Castelo, 2020). This tool can inspire personal uniqueness and creativity in students by allowing them to build a creative portfolio.

I chose to use this tool/media for asynchronous learning because students do not have to be online at the same time in order to collaborate on a project.

A project-based unit to which this tool could be applied would be having students use this platform to design their dream home. Students will work together to determine what should be included for someone who is wanting to build their own home.

This tool can help meet the specific ISTE Standard for Students 1.4 Innovative Designer by allowing students to create their own plans for a house from the ground up. They will need to collaborate with one another while being creative to have the best dream home.

Connect your students easily with this free digital whiteboard. Teams can work together in real-time or asynchronously to get their creativity flowing.

This tool/media supports project-based learning for students by allowing students to come together to collaborate and learn together. It allows for differentiation by using images, GIFs, and videos as well as captions (Butler 2022). This tool encourages student engagement and participation by the long list of tools students can use as they work on a project together.

I chose to put this under both types of learning environments because students are able to work in real time as they participate in video chats and work on live documents, but they can also work on the same template independently. Students can brainstorm, organize their thoughts, and share files with one another.

A project-based unit to which this tool/media could be applied would be an early explorers presentation. Students could learn about different explorers and then come together to discuss which explorer they would most like to collect information on. Each student can have a job so that everyone is putting forth effort on the group project.

ISTE Standard for Students 1.6 Creative Communicator would be supported with this tool because students have multiple different ways to collaborate and communicate with one another as they express their ideas on a subject.
