  • What motivates them?
  • What are their capabilities?
  • What are their preferred learning styles? (Thinking more from a generational perspective- this is often overlooked) 
  • What skills do they possess? What do they lack?
  • Which e-learning format best suits the audience? (synchronous, asynchronous, blended)
  • What is their infrastructure? (LMS)
  • What are their expectations in taking the course?
  • How will they apply what they’ve learned from this course in the field?
  • Where are there areas of opportunity to hone in on for future areas of development?
  • How do you sustain course momentum (where applicable)?
  • Real-world application is crucial- we need to ensure that we are over-communicating this (scenario-based learning).   Relevancy of material as it relates to real word-application; increases buy-in, motivation, retention, and application.
