1st article (How technology is changing language and the way we think about the world) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5595122/

2nd article ( Language development in the digital age)
http://theconversation.com/how-technology-is-changing-language-and-the-way-we-think-about-the-world-35856

Issues highlighted from article 1:
1. Googling has become a verb
- become people's collective global memory

2. Industries has become uberized
- the concept of uberization has taken the general meaning of disrupting any industry through the use of technology
- as an example, due to 'Uber', the taxi industry facing extinction.

Issues highlighted in article 2:

1. Rising number of toddlers are now put to bed with a tablet instead of a bedtime story.

2. Children see their parents constantly interacting with mobile devices, instead of with people around them.

3. The main question is the extent to which the use of tablets can facilitate learning to read and write, and how this type of learning compares to traditional learning.

4. Children seeing parents constantly interacting with gadgets instead of interacting with people will create a mindset in the younger generation to lose sense of empathy which will affect their quality of language use.

5. The issue of how new technologies change behavior and interaction, including values and communication patterns.

6. One major challenge is the nature and amount of data that need to be collected and analyzed to build such a model.

7. A valid question if we should expect any impact of mass media on language development is the extent to which the content provided through the media is comprehensible

8. From TV and radio to tablets and robots

9. Child-robot interaction

People become lazy to learn a new language because they have the technology to help them to communicate.
5. English is as lingua franca because all people speak this language. Other languages are becoming lowkey because of all people speak in english.
6. Abbreviation exists because of the use of technology such as LOL and OMG. (Messages terms) Because sometimes, the abbreviation in the messges terms cannot be understood by all people, it is not universal.

SECOND ARTICLE
How Technology Is Changing Language And The Way We Think About The World
Source : http://theconversation.com/how-technology-is-changing-language-and-the-way-we-think-about-the-world-35856j

The issues :
1.
