Something I learned in one of my placements that really resonated with me was jotting down everything I did each day in placement. One of my previous placement supervisors actually provided me sheets that I could fill out everyday with bullet points of the key things I did and what I learned. This really helped me in my later placements for using what I did as examples in assignments and is useful in establishing my experience.

Something that I had earned from my professor was during placement dont doubt yourself and to have confidence because you are learning and that is why your taking the class, so mistakes are ok as long as you correct yourself after or get corrected by your supervisor or professor.

What I learned on my placements is to be patient and be yourself. Be open-minded with a positive attitude ready to learn and do not be afraid to ask questions. In one of my placements, I was supporting students in a grade 8 math class, I had no idea how to do the math questions. I felt really bad, so I asked the teacher to explain the lesson to me. In the end, the teacher was appreciative that I ask because the students needed support for that week.

What I learned from my previous placements, is that take it one step at a time, don't rush yourself to learn everything quickly from day one, and your supervisors are more than happy to be asked questions if you need help or simply just to know anything.
Don't stress, enjoy the process, and best of luck on your journey!

one advice I would give to Field 1 students is always try to be early to your placement, before the class starts ask the teacher what the plan is for the day and how you can help, for primary grades the teacher often has to setup tables, crafts etc, help with the setup!. It will make you feel comfortable in working with the kids and the teacher and build your confidence. Some special needs kids come early too, you can use that time to bond with them and make them feel comfortable around you. Also don't hesitate to ask any questions! the more you ask, the more you learn, the more better your perform!.
