Buy the book! It is used a lot throughout this course. Honestly; it is very well written; making it very easy to follow=)

Work on a little bit every day. I know that's easier said than done, but it truly makes the homework really easy!

One way to succeed this course is to manage your time wisely. By that I mean, plan ahead to get assignments done. Don’t wait until the last minute to do the work, almost every assignment takes a minute if not days. If for any reason you’re confused or don’t understand how to complete or submit an assignment email professor, she’s got yo back. Good luck!!

Make time for reading! Always ask questions if needed because professor is really good at answering back. Do & keep up with your assignments and class discussions they really help you understand the material.

Don't wait to the last minute. All material is in the textbook, slides, but you have to read ahead of time. Take a lot of time on your google slides / presentation. Closely read the grading rubric to know exactly what is required. Communicate any questions to the teacher as soon as possible. Watch due dates. Do all assignments. Not difficult, but be prepared to do alot of work.

1.Google Slides correspond to the textbook along with identified page numbers.
2. Print out the "Questions to Consider" and the "Topics of Focus" under the modules tab, these are a very helpful study guides.
3. The textbook may seem extensive and intimidating but after putting in the time, it will make sense.
4. Keep an open mind of the class you will walk away learning sometime about yourself and the world we live in.

Read & Time Management

Please make time to read all of the material that is posted for you to be successful in Psych 110. Professor Phillips makes it very easy for you to communicate any issues or questions you may have within the course. Even if an assignment is not due, read. Read days ahead before its time to submit anything and then skim through those readings and videos as a refresher. Don't give up! This course is food for the mental space for real! Good luck.

Something I realized after the first quiz is that just as the Professor mentions note-taking is key to understanding and passing this class. In the quizzes, definitions will appear that may be exactly quoted as in the textbook. For that reason, my advice is to take good notes on the reading. If something is important, maybe even copy it word by word because chances are that will appear in the exams.

This is the most important things because you have to comprehend your work to be able to understand work your talking about. From my experience, i would say make sure you thoroughly explain your work that is very important. Lastly, do your work on time. Dont wait till the last minute to start that will make it harder on you. From this class you will learn so much about AA. And surprisingly you can learn alot about yourself to.

Due to this being an online course sometimes it harder to gasp the concept of an assignment. It's best to attend the zoom office hours if you need any help and to also community with the professor in the google voice, she responds to every message within a good time and clears up any confusion. Those things will make the course a lot more easier.

Disciplining ourselves to get things done. Not leaving everything for the last minute because it risks receiving a low grade. Do everything in a timely manner. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! Ask questions when you don't understand something, you have a great professor!!!

Hi future student, hope you are ready! My biggest takeaway advice to give you is to manage your time wisely and try to get assignments done by the deadline. I say this because although there are like 2-3 assignments per week, they take time and it's really easy to fall behind. So, to prevent you from doing 3 units in a day, please do your work on time or find a routine that works for you that helps you manage time wisely.

Honestly, this course was very busy, but also a lot of good information. Stay focused, stay on top of your deadlines, and ask questions. Last but not least stay active in the class, it's very hard to complete the discussions and peer reviews if you have no one to comment back and forth with. Give it your all and it will surely show.

Time is one of the most valuable resources you'll encounter during your journey in PSYCH 110—or any course, for that matter. How you manage it can make a significant difference in your academic experience and overall well-being.

This class is amazing, just make sure you have time for an accelerated course. utilize the tutoring sessions as they will help. You will learn great things and I highly advise you to watch the limited series posted above its excellent. I recommend Professor Phillips.

Only take this class if you are fully prepared to dedicate a significant amount of time and energy to it. The course is fast-paced and includes a high volume of assignments, along with extensive reading and video content that must be completed within tight deadlines.

If you're unfamiliar with Padlet, I strongly recommend exploring and practicing with the platform before the course begins. Balancing the learning curve of a new tool while keeping up with the workload can be extremely challenging.

That said, the knowledge and insight offered in this class are incredibly valuable—just be aware that time management will be critical. Stay organized, remain focused, and be ready to put in consistent effort if you want to succeed in this course.
