Mrs Markham thinks that the people that made the cake is right but i think the only reason why the man on the street said do not believe what people say is because he wanted a bigger piece and the man is trying to teach him.

The answer to the cure of happiness was told to Willie like a joke the answer was told to him strait the cure to happiness is you always need more than you say that you need.That means if Willie asked for  a three in slice of pound cake he should get a four inch slice but deals with the three inch slice. Willies mom didn't know the cure to happiness and Willie did. Willies mom needed the four inch slice of pound cake she needed more than she said she needed.

With the man though Willies questions are answered by the man. Also Willies mother doesn't seem to be around as much as the man is. So when the man is forced to leave Willie tells his name is not Willie and that his name is William and then Willie tells his mother that she is a blind fish in a cave. He gathers all of this encouragement from the man that he might not ever see again.

3. his mom thinks that you should follow the nutritional value of the cake box but the man thinks you should have more than you need. this is because the man is homeless(we think) and he dosent get much food and when he does he likes to get more than the serving size. but the mom believes that you should have the exact amount 
 and that amount only.
this reveals their outlook on life by showing that the mom thinks you only need the exact amount you need to get by. but the man thinks you always have to have more or extra. 
this his the differences between the man and the moms point of view on life.
