CSIs are hired by police departments, coroner's offices, and laboratories. CSIs go to where the crime took place to do their work. They collect evidence they deem important and then go to a laboratory setting to test the material taken from the crime scene. This may include blood, fingerprints, or any other DNA found at the crime scene. After they obtain all the evidence they give out a written report of what they found and are often asked to testify at criminal trials about their findings.

I am not very interested in becoming a crime scene investigator because I, personally, don't want to go to scene of the crimes everyday and see dead people. I also don't like writing that much so I wouldn't be good in that area. I enjoy and appreciate what CSIs do however I know that CSI is not the job for me.
