They have  iridium in them.<br>3.  The bigger the asteroid the larger and deeper the crater.<br>4. An asteroid landing in the ocean could cause a masive tsunami which could be worse than it landing on land.<br>5. The difference between a shooting star and an asteroid is that shooting stars burn up when they enter the Earth's atmosphere and asteroids don't. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Asteroids:<br>1. Asteroids can have a huge impacts on environments. An example can be how they can in the simulation, we saw how an asteroid can cause earthquakes and other dangerous disasters. &nbsp;<br>2. Asteroids contain an element called Iridium that is only found deep inside Earths mantel and in outer space.<br>3. It is hypothesized that the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by an asteroid that hit the Yucatan Peninsula around 65 million years ago.&nbsp;<br>4. Asteroids can very in many different sizes and shapes. The asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was 11 kilometers in diameter and Apophis was around 100 feet in diameter.<br>5. If an asteroid were to hit Earth, it would cause tsunamis, earthquakes, a rise in CO 2 levels and volcanic eruptions.&nbsp;<br>6. The difference between shooting stars and asteroids is that shooting stars are tiny meteors that die out before hitting Earth while asteroids are larger and pose a threat to the planet.</div>]]></description>
