         <description><![CDATA[<div>     Roderick explains to the narrator how his own home is haunting him. Before, Roderick had read some supernatural and mysterious books. With his mental problem and with the help of the stories he read, he starts to hallucinate certain things about his home and dead sister. Roderick develops <strong>vagaries</strong> of madness and can't stop thinking about his sister, Madeline. Roderick feels as he is living in an <strong>incubus </strong>and cannot handle his sister's death. <br>     When he would hear a little sound or just thunder, he would start to think about the worst possible things. Roderick's mental illness has taken over his life and the narrator doesn't know how to help him. The narrator watches as his friend suffers from his mental illness. He and Roderick buries Madeline and Roderick claims that he can't stand the fact that she is dead and begins to feel insane. </div>]]></description>
