-Scientists study people by using the scientific method or by using a Correlation Research Study.
-The advantages of using the scientific method is that the research helps validate by the assumptions being made. The disadvantages is that while scientist are observing people are more difficult to understand, predict and control rather than working in a lab with chemicals of such.
-The advantages of using a Correlation Research Study is that when the results are published publicly, it allows other researchers to test that scientists hypothesis which allows the results to be validated or proven incorrect by the additional testing.

-Informed Consent: The participant must know enough about the research to decide whether to participate or not and must agree to participate voluntarily. Also, it is the researchers job to protect the participants from any physical or mental harm.
-Confidentiality: Researchers must be responsible for all the data that they collect on the participants and are liable to keep the data anonymous and confidential.
-Debriefing: After the study is completed, the participants should be informed of the purpose of the study and the methods that were used during the study.
-Deception: The researcher must ensure that the deception will not harm the participants and that the participants will be told about the complete study as soon as the study is completely finished. If researchers told participants what the study was about before hand, it may alter the way the participant behaves can invalidate the experiment all together.
