         <title>Competence can be explained as the set of skills needed to perform a certain job. As health care professionals, we are trained to think critically, and analyse our nursing practice while conducting assessments, developing a plan for care, and evaluating outcomes (Registered Nurse Standard of Practice, 2016). Furthermore, ICN (2012) talks about how nurses should ensure the patient receives accurate, sufficient and timely information based on their treatment which demonstrates the skill of competence in nurses.</title>
