My School-From-Home Workbook! (Day 7 - Thursday, April 16th, 2020) by Mark Giraldi

I will be sending a new one of these each school morning to your parent's e-mail! It'll contain all of our schoolwork for the day. Any assignment submissions can be turned in through our class site (Edmodo). You should aim for one hour of schoolwork each school day! Don't forget about Ms. Garbett's weekly French work (posted on her Brightspace site), which you can access through your BYOD page (https://byod.peelschools.org/), and Mr. Bieman's Music page, which you can access through Google Classrooms (https://classroom.google.com/). The Grade 4 music class code is bejzcmq, and the Grade 5 music class code is jreycjw.

You can read it yourself, have it read to you (there's a read-to-me option on the left side) if you're having trouble!

Once done, create a one-page (approximately 200 words) report on some of the amazing ways that kids travel to school! Don't forget to include the following in your report...

- A title (What is this report about?)
- An introduction (What is this report about? How can you make it interesting to catch the reader's attention?)
- Facts/Evidence Paragraph (3 or 4 pieces of facts or evidence for you to explain regarding the focus of your report!)
- Conclusion Paragraph (Retell what the report was about! Have an interesting way to warp up your report, maybe through excellent descriptive words, or a person observation about this report!)
- A picture or pictures (Related to your report, of course!)
- Your source or sources listed (Where did you get your information from?)

You can turn in your report in our Language Arts section on Edmodo (with a text response) or even can use a speech-to-text program (such as https://speechnotes.co/ ) to record yourself reading out your answers (after that turning in the saved file, or copying and pasting the text into your submission on Edmodo)! If you want to make a Padlet, a Google Slides presentation, an Animaker or Animoto, etc (any other way to display your report) that's also fine, just make sure you turn it in through Edmodo!

Bonus Activity - The Epic Online Library is free until the end of June.
