Pictures make the book a terrific auditory and visual experience for students.
Usage in the Classroom: This book can be a resource for a read aloud in the classroom. Part of the global warming unit involves detailing how climate change effects species of animals throughout the world. This book shows the real-life effects of how climate change can completely eliminate species of animals. The teacher can connect this to current events by showcasing animals on the endangered species list around the planet. Students can research endangered animals and create mini-projects via PowerPoint on Google Classroom that display details about their selected animal.
