Richard McTaggart Update 9/21/17:

I was able to visit with Richard McTaggart today at his home. Great news! They were approved for the loan they applied for so they will have funds to rebuild their house. Praise God for this!

He was glowing. He said he had been blessed by so many people during this experience. He has a camper at his house now so he is living there even though his family is still staying with friends until they make the needed repairs. He works from home so he needs to be at the house.

The place is looking much better. They neighborhood looks much better. Most of the debris from the sides of the road in the sections I drove in today were cleaned up so neighborhood looking much more normal now.

I asked if we could help with anything and he said he has the funds so plans to hire someone to complete the repair work.

I was able to give him the special Bible with his name on it prepared by Paul Stege. We also have been able to pray for him. We got them plugged back in with the Ark Church. He said his kids recently went there for an event and they plan to start going back to church at the Ark. The Lord has blessed this family!

URGENT SPECIFIC NEEDS :
1 prayer needs-keep family together with stress of flooding and repairs, strength to get through
he was in hospital today. Went yesterday and was diagnosed with severe dehydration
2 2nd clean; everything tore out of home up to 4ft on walls except living room had paneling
and all walls tore out there. 8 ft. walls in house. Water was up to 2 1/2 feet in house
3 Needs help redoing sheetrock up to point where cut off to remove bad flooded sheetrock
4 foot in most of house. 8 ft. in living room where all paneling on walls was removed
4 No Flood Insurance
5 Trying to work themselves because of cost and no insurance and Robert went to hospital
yesterday due to dehydration
6 Some yard cleanup
7 Said he would like a Bible. Could we get something special with personalized stickers inside?
8 All Furniture destroyed
9 Help moving stuff back in when house repaired
10 Needs bedding for beds once they are able to get some
11 I Have not been to house yet because Robert was in hospital
Talked to him twice on his phone when he was at hospital

call Rosie Rankin (281-380-9041) and ask if she can confirm that there are neighborhoods there that have needs. If so, get address(es) and then visit those locations to assess the actual needs.

Pastor Angel Padilla (291-541-2534) might be a source if Rosie has nothing

1 Cleaning stuff from house and packing it to move to storage; needs to finish in next few days
has a few people helping her but slow going; needs tables or something to get stuff off ground
2 Power wash inside of house. 2nd cleaning of inside of house. Needs to finish in next few days
does not seem to have any help for this; some carpet still on stairs but most of 1st clean done
3 Muscle to move debris in yard and yard cleanup
4 Fans to dry out the inside of the house

5 Prayer-survival, that she can move had barely recovered from last years flood

6 Lady lives alone had both floors completely flooded
