Adab toward reading material

There are many adab or manners in seeking knowledge, the most important manners is to respect the teacher, but there are also manners towards reading materials. Books need to be taken care of and preserved in the process of seeking knowledge. This makes a person more grateful and appreciative for the knowledge given based on reading sources

week 1 : Taaruf

week 2 : Believe in Allah SWT

The Prophet sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam said:

“أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ باللهِ وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ واليَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَتُؤْمِنَ بالقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ”

It means:

“To believe in Allah, His Angels, His Revealed Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in destiny (qadar)–both good and evil.” (Narrated by Muslim)

As for his saying: “To believe in Allah”, literally the meaning of the word “’Iman (Belief)” is to believe, and religiously it means a specific belief which is to believe in all what the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, came with.

So ‘Iman means to believe in Allah; it means to believe in the Existence of Allah, to believe that He existed before the creations and that He does not resemble the creations.

week 3 : Belief in Angel

Belief in angels is one of the fundamental articles of faith in Islam. Muslims believe that angels are heavenly beings, created by God from light, who obey and worship Him at all times. They have different roles and functions, such as delivering revelations, recording deeds, praising God, and carrying out natural phenomena. They also interact with humans in various ways, such as protecting them from harm, inspiring them with good thoughts, and guiding them to the right path.

What we gained from been patience

Based on this poster, A person who loves Allah Almighty finds it much easier to be patient and to stand firm. This is because he sees everything coming from Allah; if it comes from Allah, there must be a reason for it. A person who loves wants the Beloved to see him in the best of states, and so he proves the best of patience. Patience is a virtue, which enables the individual to proceed towards worthy goals. So many times, in our lives something happens to us and we feel that this is the worst thing that can happen to us. But then after the trial, when relief and ease come, we realise that the difficult times had happened for good to come. So, it is important that believers have to be patient and know that Allah (SWT) is sufficient for us and is the best arranger of all our affairs. He will guide us to that which is good for us in this life and Hereafter too

what is gained from usrah:

This is my second usrah after semester 1, this usrah taught me a lot of things, such as the importance of being kind, honest, and responsible in my daily life. I also learned about how to perform ibadah correctly. On a latent benefit, i meet lots of new people and can strengthen the ukhwah

my goal in the future:

I hope I can contribute many benefits to society so that I can be a good person. Also be a good son, a friend and a student.

For me, this program does not have many shortcomings but it would be an improvement if the usrah is conducted after friday prayer at the mosque or in musolla not in a lecture room or others. I think it is more comfortable for students because some students may have to attend class in the evening. overall it is good for me because I can spend my leisure time on something beneficial.
