Natural sounds plays an important role in childhood development and have a range of benefits for young children.

-Natural sounds such as birdsong, water, and rain provide a calming and relaxing atmosphere. It also creates a peaceful learning environment.

-Such as chirping birds, rustling leaves, or puddle water allow children to engage their senses and providing an opportunity to appreciate the natural world.

-Listening to natural sounds fosters awareness and connection to the environment, which can help develop a sense of curiosity about nature.

-Children explore their imagination and are inspired by creative play. They can use the sounds from nature and create storytelling, role-playing, and artwork related to natural themes.

Clay offers a wide range of benefits for children learning development.
-Sensory development through touching the materials, we learn about the object; cold, heavy, and mouldable, as well as explore the texture of clay.

-Development of fine motor skills like finger movement while exploring clay. Clay requires muscle which transforms the material into shape, such as squeezing, pinching and rolling.

-It involves creativity and imagination freely. Through shaping clay, children to create three-dimensional objects and sculptures. It allows them to explore their artistic abilities and problem-solving skills.

-Through 'art' activities, such as communication, understanding, expressing emotions, and questions which is the languages, open possibilities for the children to collaborate and communicate.

Materials can evoke memories, narrate stories invite actions and communicate ideas (Pacini-Ketchabaw, Kind & Kocher, 2016). working with clay promotes thinking and allows sensory experience by touching the materials and allowed me to talk about my childhood to children and introduce other cultures related to this material. In the natural environment, clay can be found near the water which can be related to children jumping in puddles, creating a relationship with the land.

Indigenous story book

Indigenous Australian book 'My Granddad (Main Abija)' by Ngukurr nation people Karen Rogers a story about the author's childhood growing up in an Aboriginal community learning their culture.

This book has an Indigenous language that was translated into English. It gives a chance to the children to familiarise themselves with the language of the land owners and distribute a history of Australia. Also, we stayed in Brunswick Library, I saw many children's book stories that included social and political issues through simple storybooks. It is a great opportunity to introduce children to diverse cultures, foster respect for indigenous perspectives, and it establishes understanding and empathy.

-Incorporating indigenous language is also new to my learning process. However, this can help children appreciate the diversity of languages and cultures.

-Explore various indigenous cultures book around world including Aboriginal, and other nation communities which allow children to expose to a wide range of perspectives and promote understanding of different cultural traditions.

However, approaching indigenous stories can be sensitive and disrespectful if I am not from their community. It is important to understand the boundaries of what I am allowed to teach and not allow.

Engaging with nature

An inquiry into nature is essential in early childhood development, which is beneficial for young children physically and mentally.

From my experience, children engage with nature space and enjoy time outdoors interacting with others. The natural environment provides various opportunities for children to develop their awareness and appreciation.

-Outdoor exploration such as gardens, parks, and nearby natural areas allow them to engage in the space freely. While they play, children investigate plants and animals and discover the land. This natural environment encourages them to observe and develop their sensory experience and interact with the natural world around them.

-Indigenous perspective to see the land and learning about the owner of the land is a great opportunity to create a connection culturally and spiritually. Encourage discussions and storytelling that emphasise indigenous knowledge and traditions related to the land.

-Natural-based activities such as nature walks, listening to native birds, and sensory weather experiences like playing with sand, puddle or mud enhanced physical development. Through this activity, we can teach young children about the importance of taking care of the land.

Within the space, children create a relationship with wild animals and ecosystems. Moreover, within the space, children play and explore their creative imagination with others and investigate the space by physically experiencing the natural world.

It is important to connect to the land, engage with the owner of the land, and keep creating a connection between humans and non-humans as a way to identify who they are (Watts, 2013). The class activity 'Write your name' which represents our identity by writing the names in our language, drawing, and colours. Throughout this activity, each student shows a sense of cultural belonging and connects to nature to promote their art.

According to Watts (2013) Indigenous place, non-human beings choose how they reside, interact and develop relationships with other non-humans. So, all elements of nature possess agency, and this agency is not limited to innate action or causal relationships. By incorporating these approaches, we can help young children develop a deep appreciation for the land, fostering a lifelong connection to the natural world and promoting environmental awareness.

This is a Korean children's song about butterflies travelling in Spring. Music is an art that enhances young children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical movement. As you can hear from this song, it has a simple rhythm and lyrics that children can easily follow. In the classroom, we listen to different nationalities of children's songs, including basic body movements such as clap and simple finger dances. Moreover, it introduces basic vocabulary that supports children's language development. Music evokes emotions and it is deeply connected to cultural diversity. Through the class activity, depending on the nationality, they have different styles of music. For instance, Indian music has two different styles of music, such as chanting, meditation or dance which represent Bollywood.

Throughout music activities, children create social interactions and scaffolding with others.

In early childhood education, it is essential to incorporate first nations perspectives, indigenous ways of expression, languages, and connection with nature and the arts. This learning environment approach encourages children to respect indigenous peoples' rich cultural heritage and provides an opportunity to connect and understand the world.

First Nations perspectives promote indigenous communities' unique histories, cultures, and worldviews. By engaging these perspectives in early childhood education, children gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of indigenous cultures and diversity in Australia. Moreover, this allows children to consider the significance of traditional practices and values.

The natural environment is essential in early childhood education as it provides great opportunities for children to explore and learn in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Within the space, children discover the land, explore their creative storytelling, and develop their physical and mental abilities. Furthermore, children create a relationship with the wild animal in the natural environment with dignity.

The class activities, such as singing one of my childhood song, and writing our names on a paper that represents who I am and I belong, are also excellent opportunities to understand my identity and tradition. Throughout this unit, 'Language of Children, ' I found we have a similar history that people from outside of the land invaded. As I understand how it is crucial not losing their identity by learning the Aboriginal language, Australian wildlife and indigenous knowledge. These lead to my play that emphasises connecting and understanding natural sound. While children play this activity, it evokes children to pay attention to Australian animals and create awareness around nature.

The outcomes of the Invitation to Play is focused on SOUNDS, PAPER and LEAVES.

Children are invited in a space under the fabric to feel safe and calm within the simulated natural environment.

Mia enjoyed being there and exploring. The sound played a vital role in this activity, creating the atmosphere that was my intention to 'Play'. However, this is structured specific way, but it is entirely up to them to explore and absolve the environment.

It brought her childhood memory and she thought she could even enjoying as a grown adult.

Nature is one of the powerful places where we feel safe and relaxed. Throughout the activity, I absolve people's engagement. This space connected most people in the classroom and brought back their childhood and traditions.

It was significant to the people who were invited to the play. They knew what to do as soon as they entered the space and immediately felt safe. I believe this applies to children and it provides a great opportunity to connect to the land and create awareness around nature.
