The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is about a boy named Bruno who thinks he is forced to move to Out-With and finds out there is nothing good about out-with . He finds a boy over the fence aka the boy in the striped pajamas or Shmuel . Bruno and Shmuel eventually become friends . Bruno finds out things about Shmuel's life and his religion and finds out that everything that he been told about Jews is a lie . On the last day at Out-with , Bruno promise Shmuel that he will help him find his father , but before they know it the two friends die in a gas chamber ,but their friendship lives on.

The new house: Stood all on its own in an empty , desolated place and there were no other houses , there were no other streets around the new house , no one strolling along or rushing around, and definitely no shops or fruit and vegetable stalls.

I like when Bruno gave Shmuel food when he felt guilty that Shmuel waslooking at him eating it . "The boy stared at the food in his hand for a moment and then looked up at Bruno with wide and terrified eyes. He threw one more glance in the direction of the door and then seem to make a decision, because he thrust all three slices into his mouth in one gobbled them down in twenty seconds flat , " - directly from the book
one of my favorite part of the book is when Bruno sacrificed his life to help Shmuel help find his dad and eventually dies at the end with his best friend .

1 Text -self connection Well when Bruno moved from Germany to Poland which was a large move from him and it was the same for me when i moved from Nicaragua to United States just that i was 4 move here and he was 9 .
