I know, we've all heard that TPT is like the McDonalds of lesson plans but I humbly disagree. TPT is a great place to get ideas, and more often than not is aligned to standards. For art, this is where I get my cross curricular ideas. The key to using TPT is to take the base lesson and make it your own, make it work for your students. In education, their are no instant fixes. You have to adapt these lessons to fit your students' needs! #supportteachers #tptforthewin

The gold standard in vocabulary!

It's Merriam-Webster! The online version of the dictionary I show when my students are off task on their Chromebooks! I like this because it shows all the different definitions of a word so students can see how words have multiple meanings depending on context. It doesn't get more standards aligned than this!

Well, we all have our gripes about standards but we gotta follow 'em! Can't beat a quick link to look up standards. Never be caught off guard when asked by admin, align a lesson to a standard!

It doesn't get much more art than the Met! I use visual references, articles, and essays in the assignments I create! The best resource for art/ ELA cross over and standard alignment!

I know, I know it's open source. It's unreliable and dubious! But, it's a start. This is a good starting point, and teach students to use the references and how to check for reliability and you have just given a lesson in digital citizenship. You're welcome. Start here and move to credible sources. Wikipedia is meant to be a jumping off point, not the gold standard official authority on any one subject.
