         <description><![CDATA[<div>Questions to ask:<br>-allergies?<br>-other medical issues?<br>-what meds she is taking for her diabetes and varicose veins<br>1. Hormonal contraceptive have been reported to influence glucose,impair glucose homeostasis and fat methabolism<br>2. High dose of COC were also reported to slightly impair glucose homeostasis<br>3. Varicosa veins increases the risk of DVT. Therefore, hormonal contraceptive is best avoided.<br>Recommentation:&nbsp;<br>1. Use progestin only pill but will require monitoring of gulcose and lipid.<br>2. Use non-hormonal contraceptive method.Examples, condoms, spermicides, IUD, and diaphragm.</div>]]></description>
