         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Some of the strategies that we implement in the classrooms is having that mutual respect for all languages and cultures. Teachers make sure to support the home langauge by adding materials, such as books, toys, pictures to the environment to make sure that each child feels welcomed in their classroom. They also try to find ways to communicate with the parents by translating information in their home language or asking for verbal translation. <br><br>2) Chapter 6 highlights some helpful guiding principles that could help us support DLL’s. One of the strategies talks about knowing and understanding their strengths in their home language so that we can build on that information into the curriculum. This approach would help teachers gather more information and individualize their strenghts in order to move them up to the next developmental level. </div>]]></description>
