2.Lewis and Clark- Led an expedition to survey the land West of the Mississippi, known as Louisiana Territory, that had been purchased from France in 1803.
3. Cash crops- A crop produced for its commercial value rather than for use by the grower. Included crops like tobacco.
4. Oregon Treaty- This agreement set the boundary between the United States and Canada at the 49th parallel.
5.
