Cities and towns of Spain hold a parade on January 5th called " Cabalgata de Reyes" in which the arrival of the three kings is reenacted. The next day, the three kings, have arrived from the east and left gifts behind which the children open excitedly as soon as they wake up in the morning. Here on January 6 it is customary to organize a good omen: fire becomes a way to attract positive luck, because the flames symbolize the disruptive force of the new that advances and burns away the old to make room. The direction of the smoke becomes the way to find out the course of the new year, whether it will be lucky or not. It is important that the sparks are high, which is why the farmers move the fire using a pitchfork.
