I know this is true as there are places that are considered unsuitable for humans, such as places where it is too warm, too cold, too dry, too high, or too wet. You can't survive easily in places with these conditions as you don't have the resources needed such as oxygen and food. Also if it's too dry and you don't have any water you could die withing days, so it's clearly not suitable to live in.

I can explain how humans modify and depend on the land.

Humans modify and depend on the environment in many different ways. We can modify the environment in ways that help us, such as in the Netherlands and Louisiana. Flooding has been a huge problem in the past in the Netherlands, so they came up with a solution to stop it. They modified the environment by creating dikes and polders. Polders are pieces of land that are created by draining water from an area. This solves the flooding problem as no water means no flooding. Another thing they constructed were dikes. Dikes are used to block water from the Atlantic Ocean flooding the country. This shows that we can modify the environment to help us. The government in the Netherlands has modified the environment to help prevent flooding and save lives. We depend on land as it brings us necessities for life, such as food. There are some areas of land on Earth that can be considered inhabitable, but humans can adjust to live there. Humans learn things about our land that help us live there, such as the fact that different crops grow in different areas. Humans have adjusted to that, and grow crops where they are best grown. That is how humans depend on and modify the land.

Humans modify and adapt to the environment in many different ways. One way we can modify the environment is with dams. Dams modify the environment as they impound water or underground streams. They also prevent flooding and we can use the water for things such as irrigation, human consumption, and hydropower is used in conjuction with dams to create electricity. We depend on the environment for things such as food and water. These things are necessities for human survival, and we depend on the land to provide them for us. One way we have adapted to the land is adjusting to heat. When it gets hot outside it can be ever hotter in our house so we created air condition, which regulates the temperature inside your house. This keeps us cool. This shows adapting to the environment as we can regulate temperature in closed spaces so we don't get too hot.

Clear understanding of these concepts. - Mr. D

Sustainability is the way humans use Earth's limited resources so they can be used by future generations. It helps keep our population steady as we our not using too many resources, but we are not using it so the population grows too much or declines. Keeping the population steady is a form of sustainability as too many people means too much resources used. So that is how sustainability relates to population.

They show things such as whether a population will grow and if the country is already industrialized or is becoming industrialized. If there are more people in the younger bracket the population will increase, and if there are more older people the population will decrease.

What are the part of a pop pyramid that lead to the conclusions you've made? -- Mr. D

The Demographic Transition Model shows population growth and declining population. If a country is in Stage 1 of the DTM, their population is low and their death and birth rates are high. There is poor medical knowledge, and large families are needed. In Stage 2 the population is rapidly growing but the birth rate is still high, but the death rate is falling. The medical knowledge in these countries is increasing, but still isn't great, and large families are still needed. In Stage 3 the population is still increasing and the birth and death rates are low. The medical knowledge is getting ever better in this stage, and fewer children are needed. In Stage 4 the population is stable with no more growth, and the birth rate is falling even more. The medical knowledge is good and smaller families are wanted. The death rate is still the same, low. Stage 5 the population has a negative growth as the birth rate is lower than the death rate. This stage has no need for families and medical knowledge is good.

Clear detail on each stage of the DTM! -- Mr. D

There is also a free market, where they are no rules or government protection and the people choose everything. One example is Hong Kong. There is also a command economy in which the government makes the decisions. One example is North Korea. The last type of economic system is a mixed market. It is like a free market, but there is also some government involvement. One example is the USA.
