I have used this in my own classroom - due to multiple absences, multiple times during week. What I experienced was some students did not have access to Internet - we (the school) did not have enough hotspots for students. So that was an excuse for not during assignments. Also, some students were unable to log onto the programs or something. -Just as with paper assignments, will the students complete the home assignments?
-It requires the teacher to develop activities - which would be time consuming but once it's completed you have the activity forever!

In the artifice she mentions the reasons/benefits of Blended Learning, one of which is more one on one time with students. As a middle school teacher, I definitely feel that I don't get enough individualized time with all of my students. With 5 periods in the day, each less than an hour, I often find myself just "trying to get things done" in order to get the content to my students. I would love to try more blended learning lesson opportunities in order to better serve my students and create more student/teacher time. I think this is necessary at the middle school level. We can't keep teaching the same way. Blended learning is a combination of the traditional "Face to Face" model and Online. One of the infographics explained that innovation is driven by student learning becoming more:

HyperDocs and blended learning is a way to achieve all three.
