The PWD has a adhesive rim and forms a 'suction cup' to the wound when hooked up to negative pressure. The device is transparent and has a 3D design. The 3D design allows negative pressure along with air and fluid to be able to move throughout the wound.

Since this is fairly new, there was only one research article and it was related to burns.
