My found poem is about struggles, obstacles and not giving up. The documentary ,The Last Days and the story, Maus gave an impact to me. It taught me that no matter how you struggle, if you don't give up you can overcome the hardships you've been in to it.

Holocaust is the persecution of the Jews during the WWII. Adolf Hitler is a ruthless leader, he thought of Jewish people as an inferior race and he didn't care about their feelings. This poem is about a Holocaust Survivor's Point of View. The first and second stanzas of my poem is when Hitler ruled Germany. The Jews used to lived peacefully, without people hating them because of their race but when Hitler started to rule Germany, many questions arose. The Jews left everything behind and were forced to be inside the trains. They do not know where the Nazis are bringing them. The trains were going to the Auschwitz Concentration Camps. The third stanza is about the Jews' condition in Auschwitz. Disabled and old people were also sent in the camp. Nazis call the Jews worthless and think that they are inferior to Germany. They worked in Auschwitz until they die. They had little to no food, they don't have a proper bed to sleep. "Walking Dead" means that the people in Auschwitz die while walking, begging for food and begging for freedom. Lots of execution happened (Holocaust) They asked to themselves why did Hitler do all of these to them?. The fourth stanza is about how they almost give up and questioning "Why didn't God help us?". In the fifth and sixth stanza, the survivors tried to forget what happened in the past and it was difficult but their current lives right now are better than those days, they had new families and living well. Today's world is more civilized than it used to be, in the last sentence "God, the pleasure of living is wonderful" means that not giving up and believing to God will help you overcome to the struggles you've been in to.
