I am proud to announce my newest discovery, one of which I call "Wernicke's Receptive Aphasia"! Inspired by a patient I studied back in 1873 who had suffered a stroke, I discovered from my research after he died that there was a lesion in the rear parietal/temporal region of the patient's left brain hemisphere. This helped me conclude that this region, which is close to the auditory region of the brain, was involved in speech comprehension, explaining the symptoms of the stroke victims ability to comprehend speech.
