He then says the Liberals support the TSA in full, and deny the negative aspects of this. Neither of those statements should be relied upon because of the changing nature of American Politics. After discussing how the TSA failed on one occaison, the author then suggests that airport-contracted private security companies is the most efficient and least invasive way to handle terrorist threats.

In this article a Senator from Kentucky is arguing that being pat down by the TSA is a violation of Civil Liberties. He writes about an experience he had where the security scanner had malfunctioned and went off when he went through and the TSA refused to let him go through the scanner again they forced him to have a full body pat down. He also argues that because screenings are random that are not based on risk assessments take away attention from protecting against passengers that are at a higher risk for danger. He argues that the TSA is unnecessary and it revokes civil liberties without providing any additional protection or security.

This article focuses specifically on the TSA's use of full-body scanners. It claims that the scanners violate personal privacy and don't actually do their job. The scanners only show what is outside the body and don't show anything under the skin. The article goes on saying that the scanners only look for threats that we know about and terrorists can and will find other ways around them. Overall the author is strongly opposed to the full body scanners and even mentions an opt-out day for refusing to use the scanners.

This article is in favor of the TSA and advocates that the TSA plays a crucial role in counter-terrorism. This is not surprising since it was written by the TSA's administrator. The article states that the TSA has been a very impressive mobilization of federal workers and has made great strides in security since the 2001 attacks and before. The author also insists that TSA agents have the safety, security and privacy of passengers in mind when doing their jobs.
