Brian King: I think there a number of cutting edge technologies that managers and executives should fear and new products hit the market daily. One of the biggest is security technology as it relates keeping their costumers and employs information safe. With the technology age information is no longer stored under lock and key. Personal Information is now almost entirely stored electronically. While there are benefits to this, there are also risks. It gives more people access and with this information being stored online it leaves it open to hackers. I think it is of the upmost importance to prevent security breaches. I think the two most beneficial ways are to constantly be updating their security programs. The other is to actually hire hackers that can find where there may be short falls in the system and have them repaired.

There are so many cutting edge technologies but one of the most important one every manager and executives should fear is the internet of things. It is true that technology has change our style of life especial in this 21th century that we rely on technology and the internet for everything. Managers and Executives should fear the internet of things because by allowing their information, devices and appliances to be connected to the internet, store in the cloud and controlling them from anywhere leave vulnerabilities that gives hacker the opportunities to hack or damage company data, trade secret, create virus into the company systems and duplicate data to expose executive or sell them to other competitors. In order to prevent security breaches managers needs to educate their employees about data security. Make show they have a very strong and tested firewall and anti-virus. They need to encrypt every data .

There are many types of cutting-edge technologies that managers and executives should fear as new products hit the market. In my opinion, I believe that the number one security issue and main concern is keeping customers personal information such as credit card information, home addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers safe from the public eye. There are also risks to storing this type of information electronically. Companies need to be able to protect customers information from hackers as well. Many hackers are able to get in to many different company systems and view information that should not be shared with the public. A great solution would be to continuously upgrade security systems as often as possible and staying up to speed with the latest technology to keep customers happy and confident that their information is secure.

This day and age there are so many new cutting edge technologies that all managers and executives should be worried about. It's 2016 and we use and rely technology to do mostly everything for us. I think it is important to take new security measures to protect customer's/ client's information and the company's private information. Companies need to provide customer assurance and need to have control over that information. There are so many ways hackers could obtain financial information from customers or the company through the internet, iCloud, and mobile devices. Some solutions is to update or change encryption codes often or every day. They could routinely switch to a new security system every week. Companies could provide staff meetings to inform and educate employees on how to improve data security.

In this computer world, people are uses technologies than any other things. People share or store almost every personal and business information electronically. Therefore, for the host companies who provide services to the people or clients have biggest issue of keeping those information safe and secure.
I personally believe that no information in computer are safe. The companies can only secure it, but not prevent it from malicious activities.

There are many types of cutting-edge technologies that managers and executives should fear this day and age. I think the most important thing companies should focus on is the security measures they take. With all of the business being conducted electronically nowadays there is such a high potential for customers and businesses confidential information to get into the wrong hands. Companies need to focus on keeping all this information protected. They can do this by keeping all the security measures a company takes up to date. Companies can also hire people to try to hack into their system so they can find where their weaknesses are with their security. I know companies like Google are already doing this and I think it's the best way to test a company's security. If more companies started to use this method I think it would prevent way more security breaches.

David Abebrese: The issue of technology in business operations is a double-edged sword. As a vehicle that enables the value chain process, it fosters growth and development. However, when handled carelessly or ignorantly, it could lead to the loss or risk of business intelligence. In recent times, there have been widespread reports of major security breaches affecting major business corporations in the United States. In these reports, it was observed that due to the security lapses compromising the private information of customers, customer relationship management metrics suffered greatly due to the loss of trust from damaged reputation. Target Corporation and Home Depot are victims of these cyber crimes and other businesses have to make data security their topmost priority. These cyber criminals are sophisticated in their approach and as such as business leaders, managers or supervisors should focus on training their employees to detect loopholes that could be exploited and seal them appropriately. Security systems should be advanced with encryption technology. Also firewalls should be solidified to combat and deter the most determined hacker.

Tierra Spencer: Cutting-Edge technology is very important; it is something I deal with daily as I work for an internet based loan company. We have an extensive database that holds lots of personal information belonging to our customers. There are many things I can think of that managers and executives can use to fight the up-and-coming technologies being used to breach securities. Companies can use firewalls, password protected access to databases or company websites, employ an entire department that is dedicated to security. I believe the company must have the most capable people working in an IT department for the department to be as efficient and effective as it can be. We even go so far at my company to have protected access to each room including bathrooms in our building. We also are required to have regular training on ways we the employees can assist with security breaches. We do not have access to certain sites, we are asked not to access personal email accounts at work or open suspicious email. We are required to update several passwords on a monthly basis to also protect information. Security with many things now being online; and via a wireless cloud is very important. People need to know that whatever company they do business with is taking steps to protect their personal information.

Today, it seems like security is strong everywhere except online. It is so easy for companies to be hacked through all the new technology that has come out and is still coming out. The cloud is a "secure" system where businesses can keep their information, and there are several myths about it that were corrected in the article provided. The cloud is smart because it can be accessed from all over instead of only being accessible at the place of business. It is however, not as secure as a personal database that it strictly for the company's information. it is important for businesses to stay on top of their security and to make sure they have all of the up-to-date security walls and preventions.
