As usual, a new but critical problem emerged during maintenance, and I ventured out to Google to find the easiest solution. That's where I found jSparrow. Scrolling shortly, I see that it is possible to get 20 refactoring rules without charge by subscribing to the newsletter! Integrated into my Eclipse IDE I see that jSparrow has a rule that could fix the problem I previously found. Sadly a license must be bought. I go to my supervisor and tells her of jSparrow and I could with ease state the pros of using jSparrow.

jSparrow is a toolkit for Java developers. Its purpose is to allow them to automate maintenance work, use state-of-the-art practices, and increase both performance and security for the customers of your business.

Behind the scenes, jSparrow is able to identify and automatically remove errors from computer software, without breaking the software. The reason jSparrow is powerful, compared to other tools with quick-fixes, is because it is able to fix issues across files both online and offline and making sure that your Software functionality stays exactly the same, but internally your software has been at least 40% ridden of issues. Additionally, the readability will be increased, the lines of codes minimized, the chance of cyberattacks decreased, and new internal standards have been automatically implemented. This allows developers to quickly work on awaited features or sketch on new visionary solutions.

Reliable Upgrade
The Java language exists in many versions and it is always on the increase. New releases of the language are a definitive fact. The question for companies is if it is necessary or important to upgrade and often costs come into mind and many companies are not able to afford a complete transition to newer versions. One of our visions for jSparrow is to allow a smooth transition of version no matter which version a company might already have. For many versions, jSparrow is already capable of upgrading software to newer and safer versions automatically.
