I am taking EDUC 580 to develop a personal Philosophy of Education and learn how to become a professional in the field of education. I am excited to begin to develop a pedagogical philosophy and learn how to incorporate efficient teaching strategies into the classroom!          <description><![CDATA[<div>I am most looking forward to developing a personal Philosophy of Education and delving into pedagogical philosophies. I am excited to construct a pedagogical methodology that is founded upon both theory and praxis.  I look forward to improving my planning, decision making, and evaluation skills for the benefit of my students and for the skills as an educator. </div>]]></description>

         <title>What is my biggest concern about taking this course?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My biggest concern taking this course and developing my own Philosophy of Education is what I bring into this course with my prior background, my Philosophy degree. I am afraid I may either be too theoretical and not grounded in empirical observation, or I may want to connect ideas to thinkers who are too esoteric or on the fringes of Philosophy itself and will thus not be conducive to our class discussions.</div><div> </div>]]></description>

         <title>My Best Learning Experience</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My best learning experience I ever underwent was the Philosophy Capstone course I took while at UND. The course was designed by Dr. Lucian Stone. I felt like it was a successful course because it began not with the course content first, but with a learning goal(s) in mind; the goals Dr. Stone had in mind (I believe) were to learn how to craft ready-to-publish papers in the Turabian style, how to conduct quality independent research, and how to collaborate with our cohorts in this process. During this time we also explored philosophical works which explored the aesthetics of religious works and their philosophic themes. I believe that with the goals in mind first, he was able to able to navigate with fluidity and form the course content around those goals.&nbsp;When I completed the course, I crafted a paper which explored the commodification of the Zen Garden.
