Because Oedipus desperately wanted to know the truth and made Iocasta know about the truth along with him, he feels guilty since she took her own life after understanding the truth. Thus, it can be clearly shown that Oedipus does not prefer to know the truth, because trying to figure out the truth about something has led this tragic event to happen.  </div>]]></description>
