"How when a man and a woman love each other, sometimes that love sours. But a parent's love for a child, a child for its parents, is another entirely." So here Cleofilas is saying how her love for her parents is a entirely different thing and that love may sour

"She could write a letter to her father and ask maybe for money, just a loan, for the new baby medical expenses." So Cleofilas has the trust to ask her father for money, like she can depend on her father because she knows that her father is a person to depend on that cares for her.

Repetition, allusion, setting

Repetition:

Repetition in the story was used two times as, " I am your father, I will never abandon you". So Celofias father said that to her, like if I say I will always be here for you or like if you need help I'm here for you, it can mean a lot of things.

Setting:

In the story was a little short part of the setting for my theme, " He had said, after all, in the hubbub of parting: I am your father, I will never abandon you. He had said,Hadn't he, when he hugged and then let her go". So here where the father showed a sense of love for her daughter when she was leaving, gave her a hug and said I am your father I will never leave you like saying , I will never leave you can rely on me, on anything.

Allusion: " How when a man and a women love each other, sometimes that love sours. But a parent's love for a child, a child for it's parent's, is an entirely". So here she is saying an allusion, like saying the love from a parent to a child is something stronger than the couples love because it would never sour or end.
