Willy Loman is clearly an unstable man who has a difficult time accepting change and differentiating reality with his imagination. Her number one dream is to dance on the Corny Collins Show but has some obstacles to get there. While in detention with some African American students from her school, she learns some new dance moves which later lands her a spot on her dream show. She faces bullying by one of the producers Velma and her daughter Amber about her body in the process of living out her dream. Along with Tracy's story, the issue of segregation and racism is prevalent and Tracy fights to end segregation on the show by combining both white and African American dancers together despite the backlash they may face. This is a great story about looking past color and people's looks and shows that it's okay to be different and be yourself. One of my favorite songs from this show is "Good Morning Baltimore" which can be heard at the beginning of the musical. It's such a catchy song that will get stuck in your head. I love music and combing it was a show for entertainment is something I really love. I liked how we made a Pinterest board for a musical we liked. I chose Shrek the Musical and it was a lot of fun to create boards based on characters. I also really loved discussing the soundtracks in different musicals such as Hairspray and Cabin in the Sky. I loved the musical aspects and it makes the production much more entertaining. I also recently watched the Bridgewater production of Heathers and I thought it was amazing.
