I was very curious about when I move out getting on my own plan and seeing what might work for me. When you first open the link it will ask you a few questions once you click on get quote. By answering these questions it allows you to see different plans that can be good for you. I answered the questions because I was very curious to see roughly how much a plan could be. I answered the questions a few times with some different answers to get a range in prices. For me the plan would range between $99-$121. I also put in information and said that I was in my later 30s with a spouse and children and the plan changed to $250-$330. Obviously, our health is not something that we can risk or not take seriously. It is crucial in my opinion to be on some sort of plan to fall back on in case you ever need it. Our health should not be taken for granted. This website gives great reasons for why someone would be on a health plan. Some benefits being: dental coverage, prescription coverage, home care/nursing coverage, massage coverage, etc. These benefits can be very useful. They may not all be relevant at once but as we get older we will find that each thing on the list may be of importance to us!

I believe that looking over the standardized forms you are able to get an idea of all the benefits of health insurance as well as what you can be locking yourself into. Another good feature about this website is that has a pdf for assessments. That can be a good feature to have if you are thinking of needing nursing assistance or glucose monitoring, or any other type of assistance in the future (or currently). It can be very helpful to start looking into plans now to make it easier in the future or just to have more knowledge for when the time comes. I am currently in a stage in my life where I would like to see myself moving out in the next few years. Canadian health care is primarily funded by the government. Luckily for us that cuts down costs immensely incase a health scare would happen. In the video it also speaks about how by being on a plan through school it can sometimes be more affordable than being on your own plan. In the video it also talks about how some health insurance plans that come with the school can also fall under tuition insurance. That can be a huge benefit as you may be eliminating a lot of extra costs. Since the government provides our health care it makes lives of Canadians way easier.
