<title>Collaborative learning involves positive interdependence, mutual responsibilty and social skills for the achievement of a common goal at the end of a clarly devised task or learning activity, in which the teacher acts as a facilitator rather that a transmitter of knowledge</title>

<title>Circle time is a great way to receive feedback on class activities from the students, and to help them develop awareness, metacognition and autonomy. Going to implement circle time as often as I can in my class</title>

<title>In collaborative learning activities control, participation and behaviour management are crucial issues, often extremely hard to handle. My opinion is that personal and collective behaviour is built through years of good practices, until it is no longer a constriction but rather a normal habit</title>

<title>Relatively low level of collaboration: each student must choose a motto/quote/sentence in English that significantly describes his/her personality. Then, in turn, each student delivers the motto as a performance before the audience, following a given outline and trying to avoid hesitations. The only collaboration required is communicative, the audience listens attentively and the speakers try to establish a communication with the audience. Level: beginnerHigher level of collaboration: students in small groups, each of which represents a tech company ready to launch a revolutionary device on the market. Each group must choose the company&#39;s name, make up a brief history of the company, the nature and commercial name of their product (anything is admitted, better if non-existing or futuristic) and a brief advertising campaign to launch the product, using images, slogans, music or whatever they like. Groups show their projects to the class with a ppt presentation. Suitable for any level, the sample was made by a group of pre-intermediate.</title>

         <title>Donato Martano, Italy - &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; Activity 1 - I would mark it 2 (students work together and listen to each other, but do not have shared responsibility (except in a wider sense for the success of the whole activity), though they give each other feedback; nonetheless, they take substantive decisions &amp;nbsp;(as for the content of their motto) individually, and the interdependence relates to the different roles of the speakers and the audience. How should I consider this using a rubric? &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; Activity 2: I would mark it 5, since the groups work together, have shared responsibility, make substantive decisions and their work is interdependent.</title>
