         <description><![CDATA[<div>The importance of College and Career Readiness has increased, and has become ore of a focus in curriculum. A student's ability to transition from one educational realm to the next is vital in their ability to transition into college and ultimately into the workforce. CCR Capabilities' role importance fluctuates depending on how intentional a school is in ensuring students learn, use, and then build upon their skillsets. Because the workplace is everchanging it is important curriculum changes work to accommodate what is relevant and what students will need to be success. This requires constant teacher engagement and research.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Ways to Improve Collaboration</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Communication and Engagement. </strong>Students and those they are videoconferencing need to clear communication and the opportunity to engage<br><br><strong>Speaking and Listening.</strong> This is critical in the event students are videoconferencing with others in a different country. The balance between the two ensure everyone is understood and has the opportunity to express themselves. <br><br><strong>Reading.</strong> Fully understanding what will be discussed during a videoconference is important. Students should conduct their own research and be armed with information prior to the discussion. <br><br><strong>Web-based tools. </strong>While Skype is the most popular tool used for videoconferencing it is important to constantly research other tools such as chatting features, and photo sharing. <br><br>Global Connections. Diversity is important and something students should be exposed to early on in their education. Because of diversity and the differences in cultures, it is important for students to understand there will be similarities and differences with those they videoconference with.</div>]]></description>
