Free College in Alabama

Have you ever wanted to go to college, but couldn't afford it?This is a problem for students throughout our state. According to ACHE analysis "Alabama students didn't fill out FAFSA left an estimated $66.7 million in unclaimed Pell grants. We need to make sure all students are filling these forms out to ensure that we are helping as many as we can. I plan to allow all students to be given a chance to attend college under certain guidelines. This change will allow students to attend college without worrying about the hardship of college tuition.

Lottery

I want to bring the lottery to the state of Alabama. This would allow more money to stay in our state and give our state government extra funds. It is currently illegal so I plan on working with the legislature to pass a law legalizing it. According to the state of Georgia, "the proceeds are used to fund tuition grants and scholarships to undergraduate college students." This would also help my free college in Alabama.

Are guns dangerous? They are, if not used correctly. I plan to change the open carry policy without a permit. I will implement a background check on every citizen and a certain age to own a gun. According to US Concealed Carry "Kay Ivey signed a bill stating any law abiding Alabama resident who is at least 19 years old can carry a firearm without a permit." We have to have stricter laws in place for citizens when it comes to gun rights.
