Conclusion after blood lab / testing

We were able to conclude that the blood at the scene either belonged to Anna Garcia or Erica Piedmont. As a result, we can assume that all of it was Anna’s blood or that it was a mix of both bloods. This still allows the proposal of foul play and having Erica Piedmont possibly hurting herself in the process of moving/hurting Anna which drew blood. The blood result was able to be concluded due to the similarity in the effect of the clumping when the bloods were mixed with the Anti-A/B serums. We saw that the clumping pattern matched the same as Anna Garcia and Erica Piedmont.

Conclusion after Hair Sampling

From the hair sampling, we were able to conclude that the hair at the crime scene was Anna Garcia’s. This can be seen by comparing the magnified images of the different hair found at the scene. By looking at the hairs we were able to eliminate all until Anna Garcia's and Erica’s. After observing the Medulla of the hair at the crime scene, we were able to eliminate that the hair was Erica’s. Therefore we can assume/conclude that the hair at the crime scene was that of Anna Garcia. This allows us to assume that no other people were involved at the scene of possibly murdering Anna Garcia. Now that also poses the question of having an organized killer, but that is a bit of a stretch.

Conclusion after shoe printing

From the shoe printing, we were able to conclude that the shoe print belonged to Anna. We were able to draw this conclusion by matching the possible suspect’s shoe prints to that of the one on the crime scene. It came down to two possible shoe prints but Anna Garcia’s shoes were dirtier than the other shoes. As a result, we concluded that the shoes would leave a print if they were dirty which allows the confirmation of the shoe print belonging to Anna Garcia. This advancement in evidence allows us to rule out basic foul play and introduce a few possible situations/variables. It brings in the possibility of an organized crime but it also brings out the possibility of no perpetrators but rather, just Anna Garcia by herself.

From the fingerprinting, we are able to conclude that the fingerprint belonged to Alex Garcia. This is quite odd considering his prints/evidence has not surfaced anywhere else. Although this also allows the possibility that Alex Garcia left the fingerprint a while ago. This result is a bit less helpful because fingerprints can stick around for a while or if someone carries around an object, fingerprints can be carried around.

From the chemical/substance testing, we were able to conclude that the unknown substance at the scene was Aspirin. The are a multitude of reasons why Aspirin was in Anna’s home which can include: Blood thinning, fever reduction, headaches, pain reduction, or arthritis. This brings up some possible theories for Anna Garcia and if she had any illnesses or health problems. Another possibility is that Anna Garcia was taking the wrong dosages and accidentally OD’ing.
