Doug Greene, a local business owner, had reported her dead body. William Peterson, Garcia's ex-husband, led officials to search Garcia's apartment in relation to the investigation.

Hypertension - Anna Garcia had a history of high blood pressure, a condition in which the force to the walls of arteries is too high.

High Cholesterol - High levels of LDL measured in Anna Garcia, according to her it is because of a poor choice of diet and lack of exercise.

Type 1 Diabetes - A type of diabetes in which it is inherited. The Pancreas fails to make enough or any insulin, creating the need for more insulin in the body. Anna Garcia was diagnosed with diabetes as her pancreas shows that it lacked insulin production

Sickle Cell Anemia - A mutation in which red blood cells start to shrink and form crescent shapes, causing blood vessels to lack an appropriate amount of oxygen. Anna Garcia's blood was analyzed and was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia after crescent-shaped red blood cells were found in her blood. Life expectancy is very short for patients with sickle cell.

- Severe bruising around the head, mostly on the sides of the face
- Severe head trauma, wounds near the head
- Distended abdomen, livitity

- Injection sites near inflamed areas

Her assumed cause of death is homicide due to several knife wounds found on her body.

THEORY 1:
Erica Piedmont was sick and tired of thinking about the possibility of something going on with Alex and Anna Garcia, and the altercation she had with Anna a couple days ago caused her to decide to take matters into her own hands. Piedmont decides to enter Garcia's apartment in which she kills her with a knife. In the process of dumping Garcia's body, the Alex Garcia's Motel 6 receipt that was in her pocket slipped out into the plastic bag that was wrapped around Anna Garcia. Piedmont does not notice the slip and proceeds to dump Anna.
THEORY 2:
Lucy Leftwitch is frustrated with Anna Garcia about the bakery that they co-share. Garcia had taken Leftwitch's passport and library card so that she can't get away with running the bakery. Leftwitch then decides that it is enough and attacks Garcia in her apartment where they struggle and Garcia is killed.
THEORY 3:
Anna Garcia had alcohol in her system when she had died, so she was drunk. Garcia drinks only when she is depressed, but on this occasion Garcia has had enough. She is tired of all her health complications at such an early age, and how her relationships wont work, so she decides to inject herself and tries to overdose. She suffers a seizure in which results in a messy apartment room, but she overcomes the seizure. She finally takes a knife and commits suicide.
THEORY 4:
Anna Garcia was going to visit Alex Garcia at Motel 6, given that she has a Alex's receipt, and as she was preparing to leave she was stabbed by an assailant where they struggled in her apartment. She was later murdered and dumped in a black bag.

Doug Greene - Although Doug Greene was the person to find and report Anna Garcia's dead body, he is a person of interest. Footprints were found at the crime scene that matched those of Doug Greene.

Erica Piedmont - Step daughter of Anna Garcia, Erica Piedmont is a person of interest because according to Doug Greene, Piedmont and Anna Garcia had gotten into an altercation just days before her death which Piedmont pulled a knife and threatened Garcia. Piedmont also lives in the same apartment complex as Garcia. She is a person of interest for possible jealousy.

Lucy Leftwitch -  Lucy Leftwitch is a person of interest because she knows both Anna Garcia and Erica Piedmont, as well as Alex Garcia as she had a minor relationship with him once. Lucy also co shares a bakery with Anna Garcia, in which they recently got into an argument of who runs what and how the bakery was to be. A passport under Leftwitch's name as well as her library card was found in Garcia's apartment, raising questions as to why they're in her apartment. Leftwitch is a person of interest for possible grudge/jealousy.

William Peterson - Peterson is the Ex-Husband of Anna Garcia who tried to meet her just a couple weeks prior to her death. He tells officials about Anna's relationship with Erica and Alex, giving them information and possible motifs/suspects.
