Using your Diction Padlet for your book your job is to carefully examine the diction (word choice) in the assigned section. Search for words, phrases, and passages that are especially descriptive, powerful, funny, thought - provoking, surprising or even confusing. List the words or phrases and explain where you found them and why your selected them. Then, write your thoughts about why the author might have selected these words or phrases. What is the author trying to say? How does the diction help the author achieve his or her purpose? What tone do the words indicate? Share your findings (padlet) at your meeting. This website will be shared with Dr. Sigelakis as part of your literature circle portfolio. You must have at least two entries on Padlet.

The word choice the author picked is very interesting, and i found this also very confusing as i read. Although it is confusing, the big words the author likes to use throughout the book so far, add the icing on the cake making it far more interesting than just if, the author were to use easy words or no brainier words.
