         <title>If the lines could be decided earlier so that secondary schools could timetable students earlier. If they knew who was in virtual courses they could make decisions about what lines run in the building based on understanding who really wouldn&#39;t be in the same course in the school so that course&#39;s #s would be changed and decisions made around where line might be best applied in the secondary school. Barrier in the past was the Consortium&#39;s timelines. Check with timelines of TVDSB staffing &amp; if there can be wiggle room with Consortium dates.  (Suggestion from Admin &amp; Guidance)</title>

         <title>Continue your recent work with retention rates being improved. This focus is a good one. Admin&#39;s biggest mental barrier is that all the lines virtual and in school lines come out of same pot. So the more e-learning lines, the less lines available in schools. The push back from admin is -- at a school, admin would look at total # of lines given to them and have to make decisions about: i)  whether a course runs at all, ii) becomes two lines because of subscription #s. To make this decision they look at historical retention statistics. For example a course might have enough #s to run as two, but retention rates show that by Oct. 31st the #s will only justify 1 line. They ask -- why virtual doesn&#39;t have same accountability - ie. gets line based on #s registering, not #s that can be predicted to remain in the course via retention rates by the count dates.</title>
