She feels upset about the corrupted senators and congressmen who prosecute bootleggers yet themself are one. Prohibition fell off fast because of a favor with the American public. The ineffective enforcement, harsh enforcement techniques, crime related to the illegal liquor traffic, a need for tax revenue during the Great Depression, and widespread defiance of the law. With the public and difficult to enforce plus Alcohol consumption and distribution was under the control of organized crime who were not paying taxes.</p>]]></description>
