Physical domain- for 3-5 years of age is different from toddlers and infants as 3-5 year olds use a lot more gross motor skills as they are bigger and have a little more experience in movement.

Cognitive domain- cognitive domain from 3-5 years old is stronger than an infant or toddlers cognitive mind as they have more thoughts and curiosity to what they see. Being curious makes them think of how things can work. Being able to understand people talking will get them to start thinking of what others have said and therefore uses their cognitive mind strongly than the toddlers and infants

Samantha

Cognitive~ children between age of 3-5 they like to do more arts and crafts they need to use their brain also learning how to write their own name and counting and writing numbers. Teaching them about math and science before going to school so they can have experience. For infants they also need to learn how to crawl and roll over and they need to learn how to grab a toy using their brain they like to put anything on there mouth we really need to keep an eye on infants to make sure they don’t put anything small on there mouth so they wont choke.

Language~ children between age of 3-5 they can tell us when they get hungry and thirsty also when they need to use the washroom in full sentences they also talk to us or friends when they want to play with us or read a books with them. Some children won’t learn right away but they like to use their hands to point at something when we don’t understand them. Infants they can’t talk right away but they can learn quickly too they can understand some simple words as (apaapa) meaning food (iittaa) meaning outside (amama) meaning thirsty for bottle. They also understand when we say I love you, akuluk, aiin when we nallituq them.

Annie

Choose 2 domains to discuss and share examples of how children between 3-5 are different from infant and toddlers

Emotional~ When infant is emotional they express mostly by crying as they are not at a developmental level where they would speak of why they are crying. Toddler~ when they are crying we can ask them “why are you crying?what’s bothering you?” Because their developmental stage is stronger than infant. Toddlers can speak how they feel or what they want.

Social~ Some infants and toddlers like to be social where they like to watch other children even toddlers where they are learning to do anything by watching, some infants and toddlers are uncomfortable to socialize where they see nothing but “strangers” they become insecure of themselves or the people around them. So I believe both infant and toddlers are some what equal in social depending on themselves for example infant or toddlers can start to socialize when they become comfortable around other people after seeing the same people more than once.

Oloosie
