First of all if the people want to stay on the island they will be staying at their own personal risk. If the residents decide to stay I personally think that if they are amongst or close to the cases they should move to a safer part of the island. 

Furthermore the island has religious meaning to many of the residents on the island. I personally think that it would affect the residents that are living in the area. Putting them one another is taking away their beliefs. 

Finally the resident of the island have school and jobs and to have to go through the process of finding a job and a school can be a very stressful process. Also the government island that the government will be sending them to are two separate islands, I personally think that the people all should live on the same island. 

In conclusion I think that the residents of the Island should be given the option to leave, or stay at their own person

Starting with the obvious, toxic fumes have been escaping the volcano which are destroying crops, polluting the water, and filling the air with thick ash and fumes. This is of course very damaging to human health, as the air gets into the lungs, and the water goes right through all the important stuff. If these people want to live then they should get the heck of that island or as far away as possible from the volcano and listen to the government, not stay there and absorb all the toxicity in the known universe.

In addition, the island will soon become useless. That’s right the island will so become useless. This is because all the toxicity escaping from the volcano is killing crops, and the way of living on that island, is to farm and eat crops. So if people if have no food, well then of course they die.

Furthermore, if there’s still people on the island then it means that the government is forced to actually care about the island and spend more money on it. But if everyone on the island evacuates, then the government won’t have to worry about it and they’ll be able to spend more money on say, Port Vila. 

I strongly feel that the one of Vanuatu’s Islands that are at risk of Volcanic destruction shouldn’t have to be forced to leave however I do believe that there should strict rules set to ambid by.

My first reason is because of there spiritual connection that many residents feel connected to. I think that this connection makes them think that they are protected. 

However if they feel that it is safe to stay then why no let them. They will be at their own personal risk and if they feel safe then they should be moved to a distance away from the Volcano. With high encouragement if they still aren’t willing then let them stay.

Furthermore they probably  don’t want to move because they are unsure about provided housing and schools what if that doesn't happen these people are probably doubtful that this will come to pass. So I think that choice is important in this. I think that the people of the island want a safe environment for there family not physically but mentally, If they haven’t encountered harm from this then all the safeness they need is right where they are in their eyes. 

These are my reasons and I think that they are reasons that the people of the Island should have a choice.

First the people may have many great reasons to stay there and I have come up with a few like if half of the people leave the other half could have more land and room, if they have spiritual connection to the places they grew up and were raised.

Second reason is because the people are unsure about what there house and schools will look like. Also will probably want to know where there going to live for the rest of their life

Lastly because the volcano might be completely safe and harmless to the island. What if they go settled into their new place and find out that it is completely dead and not active. So that is what i think about the volcanoes they should have a choice and they should be able to go and should be able to stay. So be it, let them.  -Stella.

I think that they should have the option if they want to move to their relatives or stay on the island so they’re making it a life or death situation.

First of all, They live there so they should have the option of leaving or staying even though the government has control of the island choices for leaving or staying because they’ve had to move out before but they came back.

In Addition to my first reason, if they do move then come back like they did the first time it would cost a lot of money to repair the houses, shops and schools (if the volcano does erupt) because lava would do lot's of damage to all the building if they get hit.

Lastly,  if they move they might not be used to the new environment they would live in so I think they should have to choice of moving or  staying because like I said at the start of this paragraph they might not be used the environment. 

In conclusion, if they want to stay all goods with me and if they leave still good with me.

First of all I think that the government is right mostly because of the people's safety. The volcano is getting worse by the minute and could start spewing out hot lava when they least expect it.

In addition to this the government are providing homes, schools and a much safer place to live instead of this dangerous island. The ash is getting much worse and all of the crops are dying.

Lastly hundreds of people have already moved to other parts of the island that are less affected by the ash this is just another reason why they should evacuate the whole island.

In conclusion I think that the government is right and should take all the people of the island due lots of reasons but most of all their safety :)

There is a volcano on vanuatu island that is spewing ash and could destroy the villages and its killing crops. I think they should have the decision to leave.

First of all.. 

They are well aware of the volcano erupting and they can decide by themselves if it is reasonable to leave. If the do decide to leave they will be supported by Australia donating money. People have rights to make there own moves and chose what to do. 

Furthermore…

People have grown up on that island and it could be sacred or special to there family and their religion, they have started families and built schools and houses to make it their home. It would be a horrible thing to be kicked out of the home you love even if it's not even in danger. 

Lastly…

The volcano might not even erupt and they could go to so much trouble to evacuate a whole island and it wasn't even in danger. If it explodes the whole island may get destroyed and the houses could burn, but people can make their own decision if they think it's necessary to leave. People can choose where to go for safety. 

In a small place called Vanuatu island there is a volcano that might erupt and release gas that will destroy all living things, and destroy houses, villages all civilisation on that island and it will become a massive lava pit if it does erupt.

First of all I think that the government is correct for the people's safety sending them to different places might be good as they will be safe from the dangerous volcano. But if they do stay The volcano might erupt and throw lava everywhere and kill a lot of people.                                                                                                                           

Furthermore I agree that people should move because the volcano is really dangerous. But also the people are worried and confused about what there new life will look like. I think they will also want to know what there new life looks life before they actually move, And it's also against their will to go if they don't want to. 

Finally the island will soon become a ghost town. This is because all the poison gas escaping from the volcano kills plants and crops, which means no food to eat which means starvation which starvation means DEATH. So they should move but I guess if they wanna stay they can.

My conclusion is that this is bad and it is dangerous if it erupts and people are on the island, But also if they want to stay I accept that. -Alex ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

My first reason why everyone on the Ambae should be evacuated is because its an active volcano that. It’s shooting out ash making the water discolored and tasting different which it could be harmful for the animals (pets, stocklife and wildlife) and humans drinking it. Plants need water and if there is no rain then there is no clean water so the only water is from lakes around them which isn't clean makin the plant unhealthy and potential unable to eat limiting food supplies. 

Furthermore some of the people that live there are saying that they have family or spiritual ties to the place. People are getting evacuated and there going to be relocated but doesn't mean they can go there on special occasion. As Long as the people go on a safe day then they can go to there for special occasions 

And lastly why this ever one should be evacuated 280,000 people live on it and if an unpredicted explosion happens at the volcano and starts spitting out lava hundred of thousands of people would’ve died and no one would have enough time to escape and lots of smoke would cover a large area.

overall I think that everyone on the island should be moved to a safe are an can visit the island on special occasion.

First of all the decision should be made very soon, the thick layer of ash can possibly get caught in the engine of a aircraft. If it gets too bad it would completely put an end to all ideas of air support/ evacuation by air. Evacuation by boat is an option but if the volcano was to go into eruption phase there would be a risk of being hit by hot broken pieces of rock and other objects.

Furthermore the volcano is releasing gas which is polluting the air making it hardly breathable. Inhaling all this gas and ash severely damages you internally so the islanders have been forced to move to the outskirts of Ambae island. As all the gas and ash are released some collect up in the troposphere, a chemical reaction occurs creating acid rain. 

In addition lava can reach temperatures of 1,165 Fahrenheit easily devouring the thatch houses belonging to Ambae island inhabitants. Lava and magma are a forced to be reckoned with, they have a destructive nature and leave everything burnt to a crisp that gets in its way. 

Overall I strongly conclude that Ambae island should be completely cleared of all of its inhabitants. Their lives are in mortal danger. We must act now or 10,000 of innocent lives will surely perish under the merciless volcano that they call home.
