I admit that I enjoy reading much more than writing. However, writing has helped me make decisions by reflecting on the pros and cons of an action. It is almost a meditative experience once I get into the flow. What I find very difficult about writing is that it doesn't come naturally to me. I am writing essays for my secondary applications and am too focused on each word instead of forming whole sentences with my intended message. But perhaps, the limited word count makes me overthink. I majored in Public Health and minored in Biology. My dream is to enter medical school and become a primary care provider.

My name is Anthony and this is actually my final class at Coastline. My goals for the class are to become more proficient in the writing process and the proper formats (ie APA and MLA). I use to enjoy writing song lyrics and short stories when I was in high school but that was 20 years ago. I'm about to turn 38 next month and have been in the Military since I was 18. I enjoy the creative process when it comes to writing but I also enjoy historical accounts and documentation. I'm not a huge fan of citations and formatting, unfortunately. I guess that's why I'm here. To try and improve my abilities and outlook on the process itself. After this class I will be applying for graduation with an AA in Electronics.
