I would think of it as a pie. You eat the Pie part with the crust left. This book is the Crust, the end to a series the last part. I would call it a pie.

I would say it I has been like a tart of some kind. This is because the story is sweet and sour. In the story, the main character is a varsity runner. She is the fastest one on her team. The sweet cheese sort of gets boring (which is the phony stuff because Holden himself is kind of a phony), but gets carried on by the foamy cake that keeps it all afloat with the deep stuff that talks about how he feels about this world.
P.S. Holden says the word phony/phonies 48 times. I counted it myself. And he himself is a phony. He’s a genius, and he’s planning a massive heist to get basically the equivalent of 3 billion dollars. The African boy, Yesofu, has friends that like to tease Asha because they are friends even though they have major differences such as boy, girl, African, Indian. But actually everyone on the inside is the same, just like eclairs how the filling of cream is the same, it’s just the color and flavor of icing that different. I haven’t been able to read much of this book but from the summary on the back I would say that if this book was a dessert it would be a pizookie. I think this book would be a pizookie because it seems like the main character bright dawn who is a dogsled racer needs to rely on her lead dog black star. It was short and relatively easy to finish. It starts out sweet and fluffy, but as you dig into it, the taste gets rich and a little tart. Bailey is a frolicking puppy with a cute personality. And hey, what's not to like about a puppy. Just like the book there are multiple layers to the cake. Each one of them is different and has its own unique flavor, but eaten all together it’s balanced and fits together. It’s sweet yet bitter, the book is very deep. You can’t just read over something and expect it to be nothing, each and every word is important and needs to be thought through to understand it. CRÈME BRÛLÉE because on the top of CRÈME BRÛLÉE there is a hard sweet layer and when you break the top layer it reveals a creamy like constancy that is not so sweet. The reason I choose CRÈME BRÛLÉE is because in the beginning of the book it is all nice and happy, but later on there was a conflict between characters.
